70 to 75% of FGPSensors' activity concerns products engineered and made by FGPSensors. The remaining products are complementary to the FGPSensors range and are all imported. FGPSensors uses a range of technologies to build its sensors, the choice of technology depending on the application and precision required.
These technologies are:
- Metal foil strain gauges, usable up to +220° C
- Silicon strain gauges from MICRON Instruments Inc, usable up to +150°C
- Silicon microstructures
The imported products use 6 different technologies:
- Resonance Quartz, for pressure transducers and transfer standards PAROSCIENTIFIC Inc
- Magnetostrictive, for long-stroke displacement measurements
- Capacitive, for precision displacement measurements
- Foucault current, for non-contact displacement measurements
- Magnetoelasticity, for non-contact dynamic torquemeters
- Potentiometric, for displacement NOVOTECHNIK
About half of FGPSensors' production concerns standard sensors and instruments from the general catalogue, the other half being custom-built sensors and instruments designed for the customer to customer specification. FGPSensors Instrumentation also supplies turn-key systems comprising sensors, data acquisition instrumentation and user software.
