Industrial can tolerate considerable variability in pixel response along the array as well as occasional dead pixels. All Ames Photonics CCDs are selected to have no bad pixels, supporting the full dynamic range. Industrial grade CCDs also show interference fringes when exposed to dispersed light, such as in the output plane of a spectrometer.
