Diaphragm pumps offer a high degree of operational reliability and are suitable for use in various metering applications involving virtual all types of chemicalsThe pump chamber of diaphragm metering pumps is hermetically sealed from the environment. The face in contact with the medium of the diaphragms is coated with a PTFE film. A safety double diaphragm system with diaphragm failure indicator is available corresponding to the type of pump. The combination of the hermetically sealed design and high resistance to chemicals makes diaphragm-type metering pumps particularly suitable for metering:

Toxic or volatile media that must be prevented from burdening the environment (e.g. hydrazine)
Combustible liquids, for which the pump must be installed in an EX zone
Liquids under sterile conditions, for which the entire system must have CIP (Cleaning in Place) capabilities, e.g. with hot steam
Media at high vapour pressure where vaporisation of the medium can occur at moving seal surfaces such as piston packings
Liquids that have no lubricating properties
