Newport has designed the XPS-RC, a convenient remote interface for Newport XPS multi-axis controller. It allows computer independent motion and basic system diagnostics from a front-panel interface. Compared to traditional front-panel interfaces, this cabled device can be placed near customer’s equipment.

The integrated 3.8” touch-screen display shows simultaneous positioning and error display of up to eight motion axes. In addition, the amber-colored screen enables clear readability with most laser goggles. With a few touches on the display, customers can open sub-windows to perform advanced system diagnostics, incremental stepping, absolute positioning, and jogging of individual axes. The XPS-RC also allows readability with low surrounding light from farther distances and convenient
single-handed operation.
