PEN/copper laminate added to Goodfellow's range of polymers

Goodfellow has recently introduced a new PEN/copper laminate into its extensive range of polymers. Applications for the new laminate are similar to those for of PET laminates (e.g. flexible circuits) but the PEN material has the advantage of being able to operate at higher temperatures and offers better resistance to hot water and steam.

PEN/copper laminates do not start to shrink significantly until 190C, compared to 150C for the PET equivalent. In addition, PEN/copper laminates are certified forlong term electrical use at 155C rather than the lower temperatures of PET/copper laminates.

The PEN/copper laminate is stocked at an overall thickness of 0.047mm (polymer 0.012mm, copper backing 0.018mm, with a polyurethane adhesive). Pieces of 100x100 mm are in stock ready for immediate shipment and other sizes are available.

For further information on this material or any other polymer enquiry, please e-mail our polymer specialist, Paul Everitt (everitt@goodfellow.com) who will be pleased to assist.
