Advantech releases four-channel surge protection module

Cincinnati, Ohio (June 30, 2004) - Most factories today are facing increasingly complex wiring systems with high voltages. Interference from these high voltage wires can cause serious damage to control systems. The result of such a surge is usually costly, as all the components in the control system may need to be replaced. The ADAM-4914V ensures protection against these surge voltages up to 4,000 volts.

The compact design of the ADAM® family saves space, and has flexible mounting options like wall, panel, piggyback, and DIN rails. While most surge protectors in the market offer only a single channel, the ADAM-4914V offers four. This means less space is required, and the cost of protecting multiple channels is minimized.

The ADAM-4914V can be used for voltage-type signals, including thermocouples, and is recommended for factories with high voltage systems that may interfere with the instrumentation signals of a control system.

The ADAM-4914V is available for purchase now.
