Cedip Infrared Systems has chosen the Imaging, Photonics and Optical Technology (IPOT) exhibition, being held at the NEC on 15th & 16th February 2006, to present its innovative and affordable IR camera range to the UK market.
Visitors to stand B35 will have the chance to discuss and see demonstrated Cedip's innovative Silver 420 - an affordable Infrared camera based upon high performance IR array detectors that gain additional sensitivity from a proprietary cryogenic cooling system. The camera delivers up to 100 images per second in the full-image mode and several thousand images per second in partial-image mode at a constant sensitivity of < 20 mK. Top performance is achieved in the medium wavelength infrared band (3 to 5 µm) with a resolution of 320x256 pixels. Using diverse lens attachments, it is possible to completely cover a wide spectrum of applications that ranges from microscopic examinations to long-range observation. For multi-spectral applications, a removable filter wheel that significantly simplifies filter changes has been incorporated.
Also on display with be the latest version of the popular JADE UC camera. Packaged in a sealed unit the robust JADE UC offers IP51 standard protection against the ingress of rain and humidity. This makes it the perfect IR camera for automation and machine vision applications including paper production, glass inspection, food processing and plastics manufacturing. Benefiting from a sensitive microbolometer focal plane array sensor the JADE UC infrared camera is able to offer high sensitivity, low response time and good image resolution at a truly low price. Using a focal plane sensor of 384 x 288 pixels, operating in the 8-12 micron waveband, the JADE UC camera offers best-of-class performance with thermal sensitivity of less than 60mk and a thermal response time of less than 4 ms. Operating at up to 50 frames per second at full format, with output digitised over a complete 14-bits dynamic range the JADE UC provides the resolution to detect even the smallest area of defect or non-uniformity.
Jonathan Chicken, business manager of Cedip Infrared Systems Ltd, said ' by delivering innovative and affordable products, like the Silver 420 and the JADE UC, that offer leading edge performance, reliability and versatility, we are opening up new markets to the application of IR imaging technology'.
