TA Instruments offers customized rheometers for rapid and reliable analysis of asphalt binders that meet current and proposed US Federal Highway Administration requirements. The CSA II is AR 550 based and uses a fluid immersion system for temperature control. Pre-programmed test methods allow easy evaluation of asphalt binders per AASHTO methods (TP5, PP6 and MP1). The AR 550 / ETC also performs these tests and the proposed "rutting" test. Our AR 2000 / ETC system performs all the tests plus the proposed "fatigue" test and can analyze asphalt mix bars in torsion
