The flow monitors operate on the principle of the float type flow indicator. The float contains permanent magnets. The reed switch is mounted in an adjustable switch housing external to the flow circuit. The flowing medium raises the float in the direction of flow, as soon as the float with its permanent magnets reaches the set-point of the reed switch it will close the contact.
As the flow increases, the float rises further i.e. the contact remains closed and thus ensure bistable switching.

SWITCH - Characteristic.
The switch is realised with a reed ampoule enclosed in a polyamide block. The output connection is made through an IP 65 connector with a PE 7 stuffing box.
Adjustment is done by sliding the switch on a guide. A screw allows to keep its positioned.
The switches are SPST types, normally open / no flow.
- CDA / CS switch code 722 901 Suitable for flow-meter R 1/2”. and 1”.
Breaking capacity 100 VA / 220 V / 1 A
- CDA / CH switch code722 902 Only on flow- meter in 1/4”.
Or to get a low hysteresis on other models
Breaking capacity: 220 VA / 150 V / 0,5 A

SCALE MEASURE RANGE:
Standard scales are in l/min (others on request) on the CDV series, the accuracy is +/- 5%.
The scale reading is done with the upper part of the float.
Adjustment of the switch point can be made over the whole scale.
An over-flow can not damage the flow-meter, it will only increase the pressure lost.

MOUNTING:
CDA and CDV series allows a vertical or horizontal mounting position.
The medium has to be free of any particles, a filter can be installed ahead previously.
Do not install them in places where are magnetic fields.
Use non-magnetic fittings for connection (Plastic, brass or SS).
Place ferrous material with a distance of 10 mm.
Breaking capacity: Check the installation and use a amplification relay if necessary.
Adjustment of the setting point:
- On CDA series: By arrow on scale
- On CDV series: Adjust the flow-rate, then adjust the switch to the switching limit to open.
