We manufacture Class 1 enclosures for all lasers from small Class 3B laser experiments on optical tables, to high power materials processing lasers requiring room size enclosures.

All enclosures are sold tested and CE certified to the EN 60825-4 laser guards standard, and are normally sold complete with interlocks for access points and all required labelling to EN 60825-1.

The picture to the right shows a fully interlocked enclosure designed and manufactured by Lasermet for a Class 4 Nd:YAG laser welder, with access doors and microscope. All enclosures are designed for the application.

Enclosing a Class 4 laser in this way enables people to work in the room without the inconvenience of wearing protective eyewear or needing to interlock the room.

Purchasing an enclosure certified to EN 60825-4 removes the need for the customer to undertake testing to show that the enclosure is adequate.

Many large materials processing lasers are delivered and installed as Class 4 systems leaving the customer to sort out the safety implications. This can be a headache, especially if the user is not experienced with lasers. We manufacture and install full size rooms for enclosing Class 4 materials processing or other types of lasers, thus removing the laser hazard for everyone not inside the enclosure.

These enclosures can be supplied fully interlocked and with the required illuminated signs and labels to EN 60825-1 for a turn-key solution. Appropriate fume extraction can also be supplied and installed with the enclosure.
