Porvair Sciences, specialists in microplate technology, has a range of plate sealing equipment and accessories to cater for almost any requirement.

For high throughput environments, the TriSeal is an automated plate sealer that can produce an accurate and tight seal on any SBS proposed standard plate from 15 to 45mm in height. Incorporating a unique turntable design, which allows simultaneous loading, unloading and sealing the TriSeal achieves an average rate of 12 plates per minute. A plate sealing productivity double the rate of competing machines.

Where a laboratory needs the versatility to be able to seal a range of different sample storage formats the Thermobond® heat sealer is the product of choice. The Thermobond® been designed to seal polypropylene Deep Well Plates, PCR Plates, Microtitre Plates and Polystyrene Tubes with a specially prepared pierceable film or foil, which prevents sample evaporation and leakage during storage and transportation. Interchangeable sample mounting blocks and spacer plates give the Thermobond® the flexibility to seal sample plate holders ranging from 384-well plates up to 2.0ml microtubes and deepwell plates.

For laboratories having to seal smaller numbers of microplates the Mat Capper offers an affordable solution. Compact and portable instrument the Mat Capper is very easy to use requiring only one operation of the system to produce an accurate and tight seal on a wide range of both deep and shallow well microplates.
