Material and design
ERO longitudinal guides type R are manufactured in standard option of tool steel, material Nr. 1.2842.
The material hardness lies between 60 and 62 HRC. The surfaces Iare extrafine polished.
Permitted working temperatures
ERO longotudinal guides can be used with temperatures up to+80°C.
Possible short-time temperatures up to + 120°C.
Acceleration and speed tolerance
Under normal fitting conditions , an acceleration of 50 m/sec2 and speeds up to 50m/min are possible.
Friction
Under normal conditions, friction coefficient for guides with cages is 0.003.
Sealing
It is essential that longitudinal guides are protected against soil whether in liquid or solid form.
Lubrication
Lubrication with roller bearing grease on lithium soap base. The guides should not be lubricated too much. The first
lubrication can last for several years, depending on application.
Guide combinations
It is possible to combine several longitudinal guides in order to reach a special length. This way, precison, smooth running and gliding qualities remain unchanged. When supplying this type, the guides are numbered taccordingly, to allow perfect
assembly for the customer.
