PRIMA Horizontal-Arm Coordinate Measuring Machine represents the state of the art in high-performance cost-effective flexible gaging of large volume workpieces for manufacturing support. The quality of design and the superior mechanical structure, plus the broad range of probes, heads, and accessories, make PRIMA a high-performance DCC CMM, easy to use under all operating conditions.

The three-point worktable support eliminates the need for costly foundations. The rugged construction is combined with a built-in linear thermal compensation system for reliable operation in production environments.

PRIMA CMMs can be equipped with DEA CW43L high-performance servo wrist, laser sensors, continuous scanning probes, and probe and styli changers.

DEA offer with PRIMA, FIVE U-nique, a patented flexible fixturing system, that eliminates the time and cost necessary to design and build dedicated part holding fixtures for thin walled parts. FIVE U-nique uses the CMM head as an accurate position reference in space to guide the operator in configuring the part holding fixtures.

PRIMA is equipped with the PC-DMIS interactive graphics package that simplifies and streamlines measuring and programming for both the ordinary and the most exotic applications, providing fast and precise data analysis, a fully configurable intuitive graphic user interface, interactive report formatting and data handling, and graphic output capabilities for both point-to-point and scanning applications.
Exclusive CAD interface options provide a direct path from CAD data to part programming, graphical simulations, and inspection results.

PRIMA is offered as a single-arm CMM, side-mounted on a base plate configuration (“C1” series).
PRIMA has a measuring range of X axis 2000 mm to 4000 mm, Y axis 1200 mm to 1600 mm, and Z axis 1600 mm to 2100.
ISO 10360-2 accuracy performance starts from 18 + 15L/1000 ≤ 50 µm (MPEE).
