The Digital Cross Connect (DCC) is a transmission equipment used in synchronized digital network to cross connect nx64 kbps channels between 2048 kbps access ports. The system has a capacity of 128 E1 ports upgradable to 512 without causing disruption to existing traffic carrying cross connect circuits. DCC can realize unidirectional, bidirectional broadcast, cross connection at 64 kbps, nx64 kbps, CAS ABCD bits and National spare bits. DCC supports exhaustive online and offline maintenance capabilities using loop back, test access at 64 kbps/ 2 Mbps and standard test signals insertion / monitoring. The equipment can be controlled from local as well as remote stations through powerful command set of Man Machine Interface (MMI) running on PC platform under Windows 95/ NT environment.
