The DS Controller is a programmable single-axis controller with integrated AC servo driver. It provides desirable programming function thanks to its powerful 32 Bit RISC CPU and simple SEL language same as for Super SEL controller. To be used in Program Mode, the DS controller offers the following high functionality:
1,000 program steps
Multiple positioning up to 500 points with individual speed and acceleration setting
32 programs (multi-tasking up to 8 programs)
It is operated via digital I/O or serial communications (RS232). In order to communcate with external devices using digital I/O:
15 Inputs
6 Outputs
are available for users.
24VDC, which is widely used in the industry, is to be used for power and digital I/O.
Besides Program Mode with capability of multi-tasking (up to 8 Programs in parallel with maximum 1,000 steps), the DS controller can be used as a positioner in Position Mode. In Position Mode, all the positions are selected and movements are executed by external devices such as PLC.
Once the controller completes the movement, it sends a completion signal to the external device using digital output.
