The DVX-5400 system provides studio broadcast quality transmission of uncompressed 10-bit serial digital video (per ANSI/SMPTE 259M & ITURBT 601-2).

The system automatically locks to a standard SMPTE rate signal at 270 Mbps, then processes this signals to minimize jitter and BER. A digital signal offers superior receiver output stability unaffected by optical fiber attenuation, aging, splicing and other degradation.

The DVX-5400 is embedded with AES/EBU Audio and Data (per SMPTE 272M). This unit is compatible with Opticomm's Multiple Division Multiplexing (MDM) Series for multi-channel single fiber solutions. Singlemode 25dB Laser-based operation
