The PMD-1208LS personal measurement system adds a low cost analogue and digital I/O interface to any USB port. Providing eight single-ended or four differential analogue inputs with 12-bit resolution, the PMD-1208LS offers sample rates up to 1.2Ksample/s (8Ksample/s for up to 4000 samples). The eight software selectable input ranges are ideally suited for a wide assortment of measurements. In addition to the analogue inputs, the unit provides two channels of 10bit analogue output, one 32bit counter and 16bit of digital I/O. Reliable and rugged enough for industrial applications, yet inexpensive enough for home projects, the PMD-1208LS is the perfect way to add measurement and control capability to any USB capable computer. The PMD- 1208LS is fully USB plug and play and easy to use. It obtains all required power from the USB port, so no external power connection is ever required.At 3.25 x 3.125 x 1in, the PMDs are large enough to make connecting field wiring easy, yet small enough to fit on even the most crowded bench.
PMD Software is provided in a variety of forms, one of which will be ideal for any application. All PMDs include InstaCal, the powerful installation and test application, and are compatible with the powerful Universal Library driver software. OEMs and experienced programmers can take advantage of a comprehensive set of C++ routines (including source) that provide access to all of the units' functions. The PMD- 1208LS is also supported by most popular data acquisition applications packages including SoftWire and LabView.
