An extremely rugged data acquisition system with a low power design allows the LDS Nicolet Liberty to take the punishment of in-vehicle tests, while recording all day from its internal battery. The versatility of this portable data recorder enables a variety of signal conditioners with all channels synchronously sampled for precise cause-and-effect analysis.
The ultra mobile LDS Nicolet Liberty gives you the freedom to do your job faster, smarter and better; forget all the past constraints that reduced your productivity. Based on the concept of a mainframe with plug-in modules, Liberty offers a wealth of capabilities. Up to 256 channels can be installed within a single mainframe. Multiple mainframes can be used for large scale testing. Up to 1MS/s aggregate sample rate per system (100kS/s per channel) for high definition transient capture. Built-in data transfer acceleration gives you an overview of megasamples of data within seconds. And with the world's best performance signal conditioning and 16 bit accuracy, Liberty is the right solution for your difficult measurement task.

Signal Conditioning-- DC, Bridge, ICP and Thermocouple
Four-slot and eight-slot Liberty mainframes accept a family of signal conditioners for all common sensors. Liberty automatically recognizes all combinations of signal conditioners with plug-and-play setup on your PC.

The general purpose amplifier offers either 8 single ended inputs or 16 differential inputs. Both amps support up to 100kS/s simultaneous sampling at 16-bit resolution.

The 8 channel bridge amplifier supports full, half and quarter bridge, all software selectable. Bridge completion, shunt cal selection and auto balance are also software selectable.

The 8 channel ICP amplifier supports any sensors that require ICP power such as accelerometers or microphones or can be configured for DC voltage.

The DC-32 amplifier packs 32 simultaneously sampled differential inputs into one Liberty slot. That means you can have 256 channels of voltage inputs in a single mainframe! By adding one or two 16 channel thermocouple breakout boxes, Liberty can support 32 thermocouple channels with built in cold junction compensation.
