Squirrel 2020 series data logger used by a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer for retained sample stores.

The manufacture of pharmaceutical products is synonymous with quality control and
traceability. To ensure these parameters are met with utmost efficiency and reliability, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer recently installed Grant Instruments new Squirrel 2020 series data logging system, to continuously monitor 8 different temperature points as well as temperature and relative humidity in two other locations within their retained sample store. This system was supplied with UCAS traceable calibration certification.

The strict monitoring criteria is set together with alarms which notify personnel when any of the measurements fall outside pre-determined levels.

In addition to its long-term reliability and ease of use, the Squirrel 2020 data logger was chosen as USB connectivity is standard, providing fast down-loading of data, that is critical in the pharmaceutical industry where stringent adhesion to protocols are so important. The Squirrel 2020 has high performance, with many features providing considerable benefit to the user. In this particular application the logger is wall mounted. However the light weight design of this unit makes it equally as convenient to use for numerous applications within industry and research.

Programmed set-up data, as well as logged data, can also be transferred to and from the logger using removable MMC (Multi Media Card) memory cards. A dedicated communications module assures that future hardware upgrades and planned communications options can be accommodated.

Squirrel View software is provided as standard.
