Detectors covered under this program include all Intrinsic Germanium (or Hyper Pure Germanium) detectors manufactured by PGT since 1980!

PGT has manufactured HPGe detectors for over 25 years. We feel each one can be repaired and upgraded to be as good as new for a fraction of the cost of a new detector of equal sensitivity. This is because the crystals donít really age. The cryostats and the vacuum, however, do degrade over time.

PGT will offer a service contract for your PGT detector, as well as selected Canberra and Ortec detectors. Any working detector can be covered by a service warranty contract for a period of 1 or 2 or 3 years. The service contract can be tailored to a specific detector or for all of the detectors in your facility.
