The DL1220 is an innovative, cost-effective, broadcast quality transmission system. It is designed to transport analog or digital video over fiber. Included is a 12-bit encoding architecture for analog-to-digital video sampling, which enables performance to exceed the requirements of the RS250C (short-haul) standard.

Transmission of analog or digital video in the same platform: PAL, NTSC,
SDI or DVB-ASI
Jitter management and error detection handling (SDI)
Unrepeated transmission distances of over 120 km
Network options: point-to-point, point-to-multi-point and bi-directional
transmission
Multiple ITU standard laser options
NEBS Level 3 compliant
12-bit video encoding + (4) 18-bit audio
Built-in test signal generator and optical diagnostic tools.
