Following the success of Solartron’s “Orbit Network”, the Digital Input/Output Module (DIOM) was released in April 2000. It functions as an interface between Orbit and the outside world, using the “Orbit Command” language.
Within the standard Orbit Module case, eight general-purpose lines can be individually configured to Input or Output. And, in case you need even more capacity, each DIOM has a unique code, so each module can be addressed separately.
