ECT transducers enable non-contact ultrasonic measurement - Fogale
Developed in cooperation with the Laboratoire Mécanique Physique of the Université Bordeaux 1, the ECT transducers are dedicated to non-contact ultrasonic measurement. These plane armatures electrostatic transducteurs enable to generate and detect ultrasonic waves in the air.
FUNCTIONAL : Their high bandwidth enable to test various types of materials with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The control is performed without immersion, water squirter or gel. Type of generated waves : - bulk waves - Lamb waves
EASY TO USE : The operation of these plane transducers does not induce to position them precisely with respect to the samples and the quality of the received signals is not altered in case of sample oscillation.
MULTI-USE : Thanks to their high quality reception and transmission, they are performant tools for materials or structures acoustic NDC.
APPLICATIONS : Their high bandwidth enable to test various types of materials with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The control is performed without immersion, water squirter or gel. Type of generated waves : - Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) - Non Destructive Control (NDC) - Qualification of a great number of materials : - Wood products - Composite panels - Honeycombs - Foam multilayer panel - Carbon composite brake disks - thin metal sheets - plastic material - etc...
Performances and technical specifications : Resonant frequency : from 100 up to 400 kHz Bandwidth : from 30 up to 100 % at -6 dB Signal-to-noise ratio : from 70 up to 80 dB within the bandwidth Active area : 2,54 cm² in standard (can be changed upon request) Transmitter-to-receiver distance : from 2 up to 20 cm Dimensions : L - 103 mm (connecting cable not included) - Ø40g6 Power supply through shielded multiconductor cable
Supplied with : - Transmitter equipped with a integrated power amplifier driven by burst signal (TTL 0-5 V) - Receiver equipped with a low noise charge amplifier (bandwidth : from 0,01 up to 1 MHz) - Power supply and polarization box
