As a non-contact differential measurement system, the ESC U-shaped micrometer is a device dedicated to the thickness measurement of flat products in industrial environment. It can be used for all type of metals, magnetic or not, and also on carbone composite, coated metals… without any recalibration. A ESC-P version enables to measure, without contact, the thickness of plastic foils.
Examples of application :
- Sheet thickness control after rolling or calendering
- Rolling machine servo-control
- Sheet thickness control on beading machine
- Sheet thickness or pasting control of rechargeable batteries

- Thickness to be measured : 0-30 mm according to version (other configuration upon request)
- Product width : up to 600 mm in standard (other configuration upon request)
- Sensors-holder gap : 10 up to 60 mm according to version
- Product speed : <= 5 m/s
- Measurement uncertainty : ± 1 µm up to ± 20 µm according to version
- Sensors bandwidth : 0-10 kHz
- Outputs : RS485 compatible RS232, TTL (alarm), 0-10 V and 4-20 mA
