The Model PA-300 Photoionization Spectrometer (not shown) employs a spherical sector double-focusing electrostatic energy analyzer with an opposing linear or reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometer. It is ideally suited for simultaneous electron energy/ion mass measurements of photoionization products generated by lasers, resonance or discharge lamps, or synchrotron light sources.
