The RMU is an open, integrated platform for automation and process control, based on PowerPC™ and Linux technology. Logic flexibility, based on C/C++ running on Linux, is now limitless compared to traditional PLC systems. In addition, each component in the control and I/O network can provide local web browser based diagnostics for fast debug and validation. The RMU redefines with simplicity, open and distributed control architectures for equipment and process automation.

With large numbers of on-board I/O and expandability over Ethernet, the RMU is a robust and rugged system that can be used for factory automation control, data acquisition, and process monitoring. RMU is configured with a robust Linux environment, and all necessary functions to begin rapid development of your application. MKS provides the driver and code examples to get your application running quickly.

Features:

Up to 96 DIO points and up to 64 analog input points and 32 output points for high speed process critical applications
I/O cards are PCI-104 compliant, with either (24) digital or analog points per slot
Peripherals include Dual Ethernet, USB, CompactFlash, (4) Serial ports, CAN port, Display
Freescale MPC5200 @ 400 MHz, 16MB Flash, 128 MB SDRAM
Open PCI-104 I/O architecture allowing for the use of third party peripheral cards
Expand using Ethernet I/O and CAN functionality
Single, compact package, configured for your requirements
