Generalities:
- Floating aspirations are used in the hydrocarbon tanks where no contamination is tolerated (fuel for aviation, or decanting fluids...)
- With this intention, the aspiration is made a few centimetres under the level in order not to suck up the polluted fluid.

The floating aspiration consists of:
- 1 vertical pipe with a flange.
- 1 basic articulation with two flange elbows
- 1 pipe supported by a whole of floats finished by a special aspiration elbow, to remove the creation of a whirlpool (Vortex).
