Gtran Inc.’s Piranha, is a small form factor, state-of-the-art surface-mount optical receiver optimized for 10Gbps Metro application system. It is also the smallest surface-mount receiver that integrates a limiting amplifier directly in the module. With its true surface-mount configuration, the receiver can be mounted on to the PC board without cut outs which in turn, increases the usable board area for systems integration.
