ABB's Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB) are widely used in all kind of power stations as gasturbine-, combined cycle- and thermal power plants as well as geo thermal, hydro and pumped storage power stations. Our GCB's have been applied in over 3'300 SF6 applications.
Solutions for small power plants.
The circuit-breaker type HGI can be used as a generator circuit-breaker in all types of power plants with unit sizes between 60 - 180 MVA and nominal voltages up to 21 kV. The breakers are also suited for retrofit or replacement in existing power plants, when these are modernized, extended or automated.

• easy erection and putting into service due to the fact that the circuit-breaker is delivered as a fully assembled and tested unit
