When fusion splicing optical fibre it is vital that each joint is properly protected. The HSO II Heatshrink Oven rapidly applies industry standard splice protectors avoiding microbending or trapped air bubbles, ensuring the long term stability of the spliced joint. As the HSO II completes its 75 second heating cycle the operator is free to prepare the next splice. The internal battery has enough capacity to complete a typical day's jointing, and the unit can be charged or operated from its separate power supply. The HSO IIc is adapted to provide power for the camera/monitor system.
