Even though no other manufacturer in Europe can match HUCO for the breadth of its small precision coupling range, the company continues to seek new options. Some recent developments have been highly innovative, such as its new Step-Beam™ technology allowing high torsional stiffness and good radial flexibility. Others, although less unusual, are nonetheless important in ensuring HUCO has the optimum coupling in its range to suit every application.

The latest addition to its product programme falls into the latter category. The new S-Beam™ is a single beam coupling that is flexible and versatile. It is therefore ideal for use in encoder, leadscrew, resolver, tacho and other light drives. As standard, S-Beam™ is made from aluminium or stainless steel, but specials in other materials such as plastics can also be made to order.

Supplied with clamp fixing or set-screw, the S-Beam™ range offers a wide choice of bore combinations; sizes are 16mm – 51mm outside diameter, bores 3 – 20mm and peak torque up to 30Nm.
