The JPK Instruments High-Temperature Heating System (HTHS) is designed for SPM experiments in air from ambient up to 240°C or - when used together with the JPK Instruments SmallCell™ - in water-based liquids up to non-degassing level (~80°C). It consists of a sample heater and an electronic heater controller.
With an optimized design and a careful choice of materials, the drift in all dimensions that usually complicates measurements at the same sample position could be minimized. Also, the heat transfer into the surrounding areas was minimized by eliminating unnecessary heat transfer bridges and shielding the hot parts.
Key features temperature range: ambient to 240°C or ambient to non-degassing level (~ 80°C ) when used together with the SmallCell™ resolution: 0.1 °C max. equilibration time: 5 min (full range) compatible to the NanoWizard® AFM (life science version) sample stage drift-minimized in all three directions
