HgCdTe focal plane arrays

The state-of-the-art HgCdTe focal plane arrays (FPA) uses Fermionics, advanced liquid-phase epitaxial (LPE) growth and device technology. The versatility of the LPE technique assures the desired cut-off wavelength to be easily adjusted. The proprietary process yields excellent detection performance in the Near Infrared (NIR), short-wave (SWIR), mid-wave (MWIR), and long-wave (LWIR) infrared region.

Fermionics offers the HgCdTe FPAs in three array sizes 128 x 128, 320 x 256, and 640 x 512. The FPA is Indium bump bonded to the CMOS readout integrated circuit (ROIC). The direct inject or the CTIA multiplexer is designed for the snapshot mode and integrate-while-read or integrate-then-read integration modes. The multiplexer has selectable 1,2 or 4 outputs with the windowing capability
