Medway Optics makes a wide range of original and replicated ruled and holographic diffraction gratings for a variety of applications from the UV-Visible to the Infrared region. They are made on either metal or glass substrates; flat or curved surfaces with sizes from 5mm to 200mm in rectangular or circular shapes. Typical uses include spectroscopic instrumentation, polarisation studies, high power reflectors and tuning applications in laser cavities.

All our gratings have high diffraction efficiencies; typically more than 94% depending on application wavelength range, blaze wavelength, groove density, blaze angle, order and substrate. Additionally available for laser instrumentation are dedicated high power laser gratings for 9-11um with damage threshold in excess of 2KWatt/cm2 cw with coating options.
