At SDI we offer variations to the solutions shown elsewhere, based on customer specifications. To date most of the systems we have sold have been custom designs. There is no additional charge for going this route, and in fact, even our specialised systems cost less than many standard lasers. Contact us with your request, giving as many of the specifications as possible, and we will determine if we can optimise a laser system for your application.

SDI possesses an application and innovations Laboratory that allows us to test various applications and ideas on one of our High Repetition Rate pulsed laser systems, at repetition rates of up to 1200 Hz. Applications that have been tested to date include subjects such as paint removal, surface cleaning, surface decontamination, via drilling, marking, and annealing. We have also explored and optimised the use of our CO2 pulsed lasers for customers in the fields of non-destructive testing of materials, LIDAR, DIAL, and various spectroscopic applications.

In addition several development programs for clients on F2, Cu vapour, chemical, and Nd:YAG lasers have also been completed successfully. More information on some of these topics is given below.
