Stepless" Z-Nanofocussing drives for Scanning Microscopy feature extended travel range

The new P-725 PIFOC® high-speed nanofocusing drives from nanopositioning specialist PI are designed for easy integration into high-resolution microscopes. They are simply screwed between the turret and the objectives and now offer an extended Z-travel range of up to 460 µm.

Typical Applications: Bio-Technology (Screening), Scanning Microscopy, Scanning Interferometry, Surface Structure Analysis, Semiconductor Test Equipment.

The systems use noncontacting direct measuring capacitance sensors and closed loop feed back control for extra high stability and to ensure absolute position measurement and sub-nanometer accuracy.
