Photonics Industries, Bohemia, New York, has just shipped the latest version of its highly successful DM Series lasers to its customer in Asia for a PIV application.

The DM50-527 has 50mJ/pulse @1khz high pulse energies (patent pending) necessary to provide the user with superior process control with the extra energy per pulse that demanding applications require. Photonics Industries DM50 diode pumped Nd:YLF Q-switched Green lasers offers high pulse energies at high repetition rates in a compact, "hands-free" system with long-term reliability. The DM50 offers pulse energy of >50mJ at 1 kHz and 527nm. By utilizing their proprietary pump design and intra-cavity harmonic generation technologies, Photonics Industries’ DM50 delivers the highest efficiency, highest pulse energy at kilohertz pulse rates in Diode Pumped systems commercially available.

Optional features include: Automated Power Attenuator, Fiber Coupled Output, TEM00 Output, and Twin Pulse Operation - Separation from 1s and greater. The uniform beam distribution is ideal for many applications such as; Pumping of Ti:Sapphire Lasers, Pumping of Dye Lasers, High Speed Imaging, Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), laser annealing and more.
