CEDIP Infrared Systems, specialists in thermal IR camera systems, have chosen the forthcoming Defence & Security Symposium 2005 in Orlando (USA) to display on booth 831 their latest IR cameras for tracking and surveillance.

For visitors interested in long range tracking or observation of aircraft, missiles or battleships CEDIP will be displaying its JADE Long Range (LR) cameras with innovative geographical cartography computer software. Operating in the MWIR region (3-5 µm) the JADE LR gives excellent results even in humid environments, such is likely met in coastal surveillance applications. Based around a novel trifocal design the JADE LR uses motorised lenses (25, 80 and 320 mm focal length), switchable by a single command, to provide optimal detection or recognition capabilities at distances ranging from 5 to 25 km.

Designed specifically to meet the rigours of outdoor use the RUBY IR Night Vision camera features high-resolution imagery, lightweight handheld design, integral battery power, and interchangeable lenses. The handheld camera uses simple menu controls driven via easy to access ergonomic buttons. The binocular display enables comfortable viewing in all ambient lighting conditions. A unique combination of leading edge performance, rugged yet lightweight construction and ease-of-use will be of considerable interest to users for applications including criminal investigation, coastal surveillance, border patrol, force protection and homeland security.
