Key Features: Dual high gain amplifier 1..1.000 on board. Dual 12 bit A/D, no switching noise. Wide input range ± 10V.. ± 10 mV. BNC input. DC/AC/GND. Low noise < 25µVpp. External TTL trigger.
Overview: The ISA 5211 is a high accuracy signal aquisition plug-in board for the IBM PC XT and compatible. The ISA 5211 digitises signals over a bandwidh from DC to 100 KHz. The board has two independent input channels with low noise and low drift input amplifiers, so there are no switching noise problems.
Hardware: Fig. 1 is a block diagramm of the ISA 5211. The two independent amplifier have an input network, that allows AC/DC and GND coupling switchable by software. The GND switch can be used to perform an auto-offset procedure. The software programmable gain amplifier can be cofigured for voltage gains of 1, 10, 100, an 1.000.
The ISA 5211 boards have two independent 12 Bit sampling ADC´s that gives an analog signal resolution of 4.88 mV with an input range of ± 10V . You can achive finer resolution up to 4.88µV by unsing gain.
The internal timer handles multiple conversions by programmed I/O or interrupts. The internal timer generates software programmable interrupts in the range from 109,4 KHz to 27.3 KHz for the ISA 5211/25 and 39.1 KHz to 9.8 KHz for the ISA 5211/25.
