Deep-well plates today find widespread use in rapidly expanding applications including cell growth monitoring, combinatorial chemistry and sample storage.

Manufactured from polypropylene, Porvair's deep-well plates have excellent heat and solvent resistant qualities. Using only ultra-pure grade polymer means that the deep-well plates have near zero leachates ensuring long term sample integrity. Benefiting from cleanroom production and a proprietary gamma ray irradiation process, Porvair is able to additionally offer a complete range of sterile deep-well plates for especially sensitive biological and cellular samples. For molecular biology samples a choice of RNase / DNase free deep-well plates provide the ideal long-term storage media.

Porvair's growing range of 384-well deep-well plates provide a leading edge solution for high-throughput laboratories. A novel 'V' bottomed well design provides both high sample capacity (300 µl) and allows sipping probes easy access to all the liquid contents. Available in a choice of volumes, including 350 µl, 1 ml and 2 ml, Porvair's range of 96-well deep-well plates are optimised to cover a wide range of applications. For general assay work the 1 ml round deep-well plates provide an affordable, easy to use solution. Where operational flexibility is important Porvair's range of 96 square well deep-well plates incorporate a conical base that aids sample concentration, reconstitution and centrifugation.
