Manual bearing selection can involve hours of tedious computations and, due to the complexity of those calculations, a greater chance of error. The new Kaydon REALI-DESIGN™ software, available in the UK from R. A. Rodriguez, allows the selection process to be accomplished in just minutes. It undertakes essential life and load analyses, determines maximum safe operating speeds and calculates axial play due to internal clearances.

This innovative programme also allows the user to import CAD drawings from a .DXF library and access various tutorials including a guide to the wide-ranging uses of thin-section bearings and ideas for bearing mounting. Also contained on the CD is the complete Kaydon Catalogue 300 in PDF format. System requirements are Windows® 95 or later and the availability of 34mb of disc space.
