Potassium Sodium Strontium Barium Niobate (KNSBN) and Strontium Barium Niobate (SBN) are promising photorefractive crystals that will be widely used in optical information processing, optical computing and optical network system. KNSBN crystals which were developed in NEWPHOTONS for the first time have no phase transition at room temperature and no depolarization in practical usage.
