Large crystal slabs to produce high power laser radiation

The Heat Capacity Laser at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory involves the use of large crystal slabs to produce high power laser radiation when pumped with laser diodes. ONYX works on providing slabs of sufficient size, larger than can be grown in crystal growth facilities, by using the MOSAIC AFB® approach.
