LTB designed Laser Induced Multi Emission Spectrometer , or LIMES, combines the advantages of laser technology and highly sensitive detection electronics in a compact laser fluorescence analyzing system. It allows in comparison with conventional fluorescence lamp excitation:
- an increase in the sensitivity of up to 3 orders - a rise in the measuring velocity - a miniaturization of the samples
The main components of the LIMES are: - the laser system (Nitrogen laser MNL 200 and Automated Tuning Module ATM) - the spectrometer/detector unit - the beam guidance via fibres - the customized sample handling - the PC with the operation and evaluation software Sophi for LIMES
All components are incorporated into a compact set-up that is integrated into a portable under-table casing.
The software Sophi for LIMES allows the system to be operated easily via a Windows environment. System integrations and the integration into the customer's software can be realized via an interface in form of a DLL.
For evaluation, different measuring methods are at your disposal:
- the spectral measuring of fluorescence - the time-resolved measuring of fluorescence, measuring of decay time constants - the parallel measuring of the time and spectral behaviour of fluorescence - the spatial intensity distribution of a fluorescence as function of F(x,y); T(x, y) (binning range freely selectable)
