Laser Interferometric Sensor for Glass

PRINT
BACK

The interferometric instrument is ideally suited for optical fiber diameter measurement and flaw detection on high-speed draw towers.
For the glass fibre, the phenomenon offers the following features.

High performance measurements
Absolute diameter measurement within ±0.15 µm.
Analog diameter measurement and flaw detection of 100KHz band pass
Diameter resolution and stability below ±0.02µm.
Fibre vibration measurement independent.
X-Y fibre position analog measurement band pass of 10 Khz, ±0.02mm
X-Y self fiber frequency vibration measurement: drawing force measurement
Real time detection of diameter out of tolerance.
Statistics computing.

Defects detection
Real time internal and external flaw detection (100KHz).
Very fine airline diameter detection: 0.7µm.
Real time event recording (production reports).

Other function
Fiber feed pulse counting for length and speed computing.

Outputs
Analog diameter measurement of ±10V, 100 KHz.
X & Y fiber position or Energy & Contrast analog outputs ±10V, 10Khz.
Analog fiber vibration frequency: refer to nominal value.
Digital outputs: alarms, defects.
RS232C serial link : access to internal parameters and measurement results.
