LaserMOD is a photonic device design software tool for simulating the optical, electronic, and thermal properties of semiconductor lasers. LaserMOD combines the most versatile, user friendly, and easy to learn GUI in the market with a powerful, robust simulation engine that pro- vides advanced and accurate physics based modeling capabilities in multiple dimensions. LaserMOD is complete with material libraries, tutorial examples, on-line help, and all simulation and analysis features integrated under a single GUI.
Applications
Device applications currently include:
Edge emitting lasers, such as Fabry-Perot and DFB type VCSEL Silicon modulators Resulting from ongoing development efforts, future releases of this tool will address dectectors and SOAs.
