LEGATO EQC is a software tool for connection of equipment data for machine control, electronic data logging, observation, management and evaluation in semiconductor- and electronic industries.
The LEGATO EQUIPMENT CONTROLLER (EQC) host system communicates with the current SECS-standard of the SEMI organization and connects the equipment with a data base or with superior host systems.

LEGATO EQC collects equipment data as there are alarm signals, incidents (material movements, SPC data etc.) or other equipment actual states and stores these informations either in databases or transfers into other applications.
Additionally to the equipment informations LEGATO EQC offers the functionality of a production data acquisition system for operators manual input of machine status and material- and production lot informations. Furthermore signal processing, like displayed signals of the signal lamp or by an index pulse (e.g. of a counter) can be carried out.
Moreover the modern software architecture offers free configuration of data destinations. I.e. the user can select free which informations should be announced to which place or to be stored.
A simple and fast configuration of all equipment features an data by graphic user interface as well as a database redundantize the progamming expenditures and offer lowest expenditure for integration and time need.
