- Extrem conditions :

Heat resistant light guides:
The normal range of heat-resistance for fibreglass light guides, with multiple components, quartz or plastic fibres is between 40° and 180° respectively. However we can manufacture light guides to order with a greater resistance to heat or cold.

Humidity resistant light guides:
Standard light guides are not designed to resist high levels of humidity. At 130° C, with a humidity level of 100% and pressure of 2kg/cm, a light guide has no more than 5% light capacity after 20 hours of use. As an option we can provide light guides with autoclaved fibres. Under similar conditions, these light guides have a light capacity of more than 90% after 100 hours of use.

High-performance light guides:
We have designed high-performance light guides for use in very demanding applications. The particular design of the internal structure and fibre coating of these light guides increase their service life by a factor of 10 compared to standard light guides.

Chemical resistant light guides:
For applications where the light guides must be resistant to chemical products, we can provide these with structure and components specially designed to increase their resistance to this type of product.
Extra-long light guides
Quartz fibres are recommended for light guides more than 5m long
