The MDE system is especially designed to cut soft materials by VHP water jet (3800 bar) for prototypes and small series : leather, rubber, flexible gaskets, foams, etc..
The MDE system is a built-in machine which integrates the pump, the cutting unit, and the control panel. The machine is constituted of a welded-frame, a overhang gantry driven on the frame by rails and roller slides. The gantry holds a cutting head with a pneumatic control on/off valve. The driven system is made by two systems, ballscrews and digital brushless motors. The machine is equipped with suction system and a mast holding a videoprojector enabling the direct nesting on the material to be cut. This material is laid on a sliding rack supporting a honey comb plate. When the nesting operation is performed, the machine operator pushes the rack to the cutting area fully cowled and protected by electromagnetic locks.
The cutting head is supplied by a LC 17 integrated pump.
Power : 10 CV – can supply a Ø 0,15 mm nozzle / 3800 bar.
The pump itself is fed by a booster pump integrated in the machine.
