A two-stage micro miniature refrigerator is now available from MMR for cooling to 30K. This has the same geometry as the standard MMR refrigerators but instead of a single Argon cooling stage it has two stages - one Argon and the other neon. Argon gas is used to pre-cool a neon refrigerator that then provides cooling at temperatures close to the boiling point of neon. In addition, it is fabricated of materials that permit it to be operated up to 400K. This refrigerator can be used in certain existing MMR cryogenic cooling systems to enhance the operating range of those systems; provided those systems presently use MMR's K-20 or K-20A programmable temperature controllers, and the Model R2205 or R2400 Series refrigerators.

Gas Supply requirements: Argon (99.998%) delivered to user with tank pressure of at least 2640 psi ; Neon (99.999%) delivered to user with tank pressure of at least 2370 psi.
Operating pressure: Ar @ 1800 psi; Ne @ 1800 to 1600 psi.
